Deep Thinkers, a duo comprised of MC Brother of Moses and producer Leonard Dstroy, formed in Kansas City in the 2000s after meeting while performing in the band Sevenfold Symphony. They have been credited with their extensive influence on the Kansas City hip hop scene, and Dstroy has gone on to produce for other KC artists, notably Strange Music duo Ces Cru. Their music centers on sociopolitical themes, driven by sample-heavy production drawing from funk, jazz, and world music. Brother of Moses is heavily involved with his community and is also an oil painter, while Dstroy continues to be in demand locally as a producer.
