Jibbs came onto the hip hop scene during the mid-2000s St. Louis pop rap boom. His debut single, "Chain Hang Low," became a top 10 hit and earned platinum certification, and its follow-up "King Kong," featuring Chamillionaire, was also a modest hit, propelling his debut album, Jibbs Featuring Jibbs, to #11 on the Billboard 200. Since then, Jibbs has released a pair of mixtapes but has not seen further chart success. As of 2017 he was working on his sophomore album, Ten Years Later.
