Mac Lethal is a recording artist, battle rapper, author, label owner, and radio host from Kansas City, MO. He released his debut album, Men Are From Mars, Pornstars Are From Earth, in 2002, which led to him being brought on tour with Sage Francis for the Fuck Clear Channel Tour in 2004. He founded his own label, Black Clover Records, in 2006, but released his next album, 11:11, on Minnesota-based Rhymesayers Entertainment in 2007. During this early stage in his career he was also a successful battle rapper, making it to the 2004 Scribble Jam Finals before losing to Illmaculate.

Mac gained major attention in the early 2010s for his viral YouTube videos, often featuring him performing speed rap, sometimes riffing on current events (such as the infamous Charlie Sheen meltdown) or rapping over popular beats, such as Busta Rhymes's "Break Ya Neck." His most famous video featured him speed rapping over Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" while cooking pancakes at the same time, a video which earned millions of views and led to Mac appearing on Ellen to perform his fast raps. He received further viral attention when a Tumblr page he ran titled "Texts From Bennett" became popular, in which he posted screenshots of allegedly real text conversations between him and his cousin Bennett, who encompassed many white rapper stereotypes. The Tumblr led to a book release, Texts From Bennett, on Simon & Schuster in 2013. The book was well-received, although many questioned the authenticity of the conversations, with The Smoking Gun going so far as to publish a report allegedly quoting Mac's dad saying that Bennett was an invention, something Mac denied to The Huffington Post.

Mac continues to release viral videos, lately a little less focused on the speed rapping and more on gimmicks such as rapping in 27 different styles, rapping after eating a Carolina reaper pepper, placing a complicated pizza order in rhyme form, etc. He released his most recent album, Congratulations, in 2016, which featured a long-anticipated collaboration with fellow Kansas Citian Tech N9ne.
