Solé grew up in Kansas City, where she attended cosmetology school and studied political science and psychology in college before entering the music business. In 1999, she landed a hit with her single "4, 5, 6" which featured JT Money and Kandi, and released her debut and to date only album, Skin Deep. In spite of the single's success, the album only charted at #127 on Billboard, and Solé has yet to follow it up, recording sparsely as a guest artist on other artist's music. In 2000, she was engaged to R&B singer Ginuwine, and married him in 2003. The two divorced in 2015, and in 2017 she married Professor Griff of Public Enemy. Solé has four children, including two with Ginuwine.
