The song was a smash hit, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and led to Ali & Gipp forming an official group. Later that same year, they appeared on the hit soundtrack to Nelly's movie The Longest Yard. Their debut album, Kinfolk, was released in 2007 and featured the minor hit "Go 'Head." The duo have yet to release a follow-up.
